Great shoe, I feel like it's the most solid out of the current options. I've been waiting for a shoe with the G6 midsole which is also a little bit more solid, this fulfils my needs. Haven't skated it yet, just got them.
The insole is new, haven't got one of these before, has a bit more support under the arch. The tongue is between thin and medium, just slightly puffy. There is thick padding around the Achilles tendon area, and an insert of padding underneath the ankle-bone.
The gold touches - the logo on the outer heel area and the tongue - really pop out and look great. They also serve as a reminder for Stay Gold, and that brings extra hype.
I love the G6 midsole, only skated this for the past 4 years. I've previously had 7 pairs of the Reynolds G6, and after they were discontinued I was waiting for a shoe to take its place. Bought the Spanky G6 and they're great, but the upper feels a bit thin, however the Gamma feels more robust all around.
Get rid of those swooshes and I'd buy em.
