An Emerica classic that holds true to the Low DNA and design heritage, focusing even more on board feel with its low profile control.
Ive had some Emericans before, and then Adidas SB stepped trough for my number one... Got bored of them and i saw the Vulcs. Footbed is great, design is super and it feels great to walk on emerica once again!
Nothing bad to say about the shoes! Thea brake in so fast and feel so good!
Still my favorite shoe I’ve ever skated. They last about three months, then either one of three things happens. They get a hole in the kick flip pocket, a hole in the bottom of the shoe, or the glue that holds the sole onto the bottom of the shoe starts to give way. Probably my 20th pair in the past 10 years. Still love the shoe. Wish it lasted longer.
Some weeks ago I was on a quest to find replacement shoes for drumming and a search revealed the vendor, eMerica, and the LOW VULC shoes. Yes, they're skateboarding shoes but there were reviews from purchasers who are drummers and reviews from Websites that review shoes for drumming and all those places rated the LOW VULC shoes very highly.
I've had the LOW VULC shoes for a few weeks now and can say that they certainly grip the pedals solidly. I have had to adapt my playing due to the shoe's grip on the pedals.
My former shoes were an ancient pair of sneakers that allowed me to slide around on the bass drum and hi-hat pedals in order to play certain patterns such as sixteenth note triplets on the bass drum and though I'm finding how to do that again, the grip on the pedals was something of a surprise at first with the new shoes.
The LOW VULC shoes feel well made, they're snug without being tight, they look good in the dark blue/gold scheme, and they do have some weight to them. They feel about twice the weight of my old sneakers and my current work shoes but, they are comfortable and my guess is they're going to last a long time.
Really satisfied with these. Exact fit!
