Definitely not the Reynolds or G6 code Og's. Had a thick but manageable G6 insole Put in Reynolds Vulc low g6 insole and they feel great and bit roomy as it is a tad bit wide of a shoe. The entire upper seems to be moccasin style motif as the chillin villian would most like ride on this surreal looking emerica trips, edits and videos. Nice suede and easily breaks in like classic etnies, es and emericas
Solid shoe true to the emerica sole. Please bring back a vul low or accel slim or double fox taped vulc shoe for the true core soul skaters. "if you build it they will come" and in mother russia shoe rides you.
The look and feel of these are so great. I agree with the comments of upgrading the midsole. If so, I would continue to buy and skate these for sure.
They made suttle changes to the First Pillar shoes that make them slightly less comfortable straight outta the box but still not bad. I really just don't like how they're loose on the heels now because they cut out a chunk of the mid-top on the back-ends. Yet it makes them easy to slip on and off without relacing the shoes, not that it was ever an issue with the First edition. Overall good shoe but they fixed stuff that wasn't broke and it made them less worthy of a high-rating in the end. Used to be 5-star shoes. Now its a 4-star shoe.
The bulk of the 90s version was kept under control by the PU midsole that is non-existent on this version. My feet just swim in these. The center section was exposed foam midsole in the originals and not rubber the entire way across. Disappointed they went cheap considering the high price. Unless I am trippin, the OG aint like the OG
